Just Listen

"The past does affect the present and the future, in the ways you could see and a million ones you couldn't. Time wasn't a thing you could divide easily; there was no defined middle or beginning or end. I could pretend to leave the past behind, but it would not leave me."

White Fang

" 'You ain't got me yet!' he cried, savagely shaking his fist at the hungry beasts; and at the sound of his voice the whole circle was agitated, there was a general snarl, and the she- wolf slid up close to him across the snow and watched him with hungry wistfulness.

He set to work to carry out a new idea that had come to him. He extended the fire into a large circle. Inside the circle he crouched, his sleeping outfit under him as a protection against the melting snow. When he had thus dissappeared within his shelter of flame, the whole pack came curiously to the rim of the fire to see what had become of him."

Jack London

Jack London was born in 1876. He had a really interesting life. Was accused of plagiarism over five times. Married twice. Spent $80,000 on a stone mansion he named "Wolf House". He died in 1916, and many thought he committed suicide. Wrote lots of books, including White Fang, Call of The Wild, and The Sea Wolf. I'm in the process of reading White Fang. I'm on the third chapter of first part. There are five parts. Twenty-five chapters total. Isn't that lovely? Call of The Wild was made to be White Fang's companion originally. I will eventually read both, I hope :)

Book Recomendations

For Metamorphosis:
Lets see, a good book recomendation...the Series Of Unfourtanate Events? They are kinda kiddish, but i loved them! not sure wat your into. Maybe you would prefer something like Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. Or the Nancy Drews? My personal favorite: Song Of the Sparrow by Lisa Ann Sandell. It's the story of Elaine, a daughter of a soldier who lives in King Arthur's camp with his army. An amazing story.
It would be really great if people would read more.

I'm Happy!

Today is the anniversary of the day I was born! So very exciting!

Jane Austin

I am reading Emma by Jane Austen. So far, its been pretty hard to read. For example: "Mr. Weston was a native of Highbury, and born of a respectable family, which for the last two or three generations had been rising into gentililty and property. He had become indisposed for any more..." It requires complete concentration to "translate" each sentence in your head. Other wise, you dont get it.

good website if you want to find an author or a specific book title! I personally love it!

"Lying, robed in snowy white
That loosely flew to left and right~
The leaves upon her falling light~
Thro' the noises of the night
She floated down to Camelot:
And as the boat-head wound along
The willowy hills and feilds among,
They heard her singing her last song
The Lady of Shalott"
